25th Anniversary Reunion

Nine members of the Class of 1979 enjoyed a weekend in Las Vegas in September, beginning with the Hoolaulea on Thursday and the UH – UNLV tailgate party and football game on Friday. Below are three of the “macho men” of 1979.

Following are the list of events planned for our 25 Anniversary Reunion next year:
Event: June 10 – Stag Night, SLAA Clubhouse
Location: SLAA Clubhouse
Time: 6:00 p.m. until WHEN EVER
Cost: $12.00 per person
Happenings: Reunion Kickoff, Heavy Pupu, Karaoke, No Host Bar, Lots of laughs

Who’s invited: Class of ’79 graduates only.
   
Event: June 11 – Golf, Makaha West Golf Course
Location: Makaha West
Time: 1st Tee times start at 9:00 a.m (Those of you with hangovers from Stag Night-BE ON TIME!)
Cost: $40.00 per person (greenies extra)
Happenings: Three man scramble, 19th hole pupu, No host bar, prizes

Who’s invited: We have 10 tee times. Priority will be given to Class of ’79 graduates. However, if you want to bring a friend or significant other, sign them up. Confirmation of participants will be given well in advance.
   
Event: June 12 – Family Picnic, Barbers Point
Location: Barbers Point
Time: 10:00 a.m. until security kicks us out
Cost: No charge
Happenings: Beach, Sun, Games, Pot Luck (you’ll be notified of the types of items to bring),
Lucky we live Hawaii

Event: June 13 – Banquet, TBD
Location: Tentatively Moana Hotel
Time: 6:00 p.m.
Cost: $50.00 per person
Happenings: Wrap up the weekend with a formal social party. Food stations (catered by Tom Wong), No host bar, prizes, Dress up in formal Aloha Attire and wrap up the weekend with your spouse or significant other

Other Events Throughout 2004

  • Graduation: Each year at graduation, SLS recognizes the classes celebrating their 25th, 50th, 60th and 70th years as honored and proud alumni. So, on Saturday, May 29, 2004, at 1:30P.M., the Class of '79 will participate and be recognized at the 158th Commencement at the Neal Blaisdell Center. Let's have a good showing! A heavy pupu, drinks and karaoke gathering will take place following the graduation. Contact Russell Valente at 739-4833 for more information.
  • Vegas Get Away: Dwayne Arelliano and Greg Frey will be taking on the endeavor of gathering a group to meet up in Vegas in 2004
  • Ohana Fair: The Classes of ‘79 and ‘54 will host the second annual SLS Luau. Although the date is not set, there is talk that the Luau may kick off "Homecoming 2004" sometime late September / early October. If not, it will tie into the schools Ohana Festival on either Saturday, May 1 or May 8, 2004. Contact Mark Villanueva at 847-5415 for more information.
  • SLAA Annual Softball Tournament – 2004 President’s Day weekend, coordinated by Austin Keanu/Aaron Manuel/Kevin Siders
  • St. Louis School Football tailgate w/SLAA
