Class of 1956 45th Reunion
reported by Ed Chang
Our 45th Anniversary Reunion began on the weekend of Aug. 3, 2001,  with golf at the Waialae Country Club, sponsored by Greg Gomes. While the golfers were playing, others waited for the much-anticipated gathering at Greg's home after golf. Greg and Frances hosted a fabulous dinner with a menu, which included roast-suckling pig.
Our formal dinner at Alan Wong's was another adventure in gourmet feasting. Food stations with various types of specialty foods were available so we could sample foods never tasted before (certainly not during our school days). M.C., Greg Gomes, along with Harold Iseke, and Larry Price spoke about life in the mid 1950's. Greg's generosity extended to providing door prizes for everyone.
Our honored guests included Brothers Clarence Chew and Edward Gomez and Fr. Allen Delong, president of Saint Louis School.
Mainland classmates included the Hardy boys, Alan and Edmund, Bob Shibata, Leroy Bartels, Dr. Ron Yamachika, and Charles Pokipala. Calvin Chun was scheduled to attend but an illness caused him to cancel. Poki came the furthest from the east coast.  Classmates attending for the first time were, Robert Peru, Gerardo Abear, Leroy Rapozo, and Nelson Lau.
Thanks to the reunion committee: Jimmy Yamaguchi, Charlie Lum Kee, Harry Ching, Cordell Chun, Brother Edward Gomez, and Ed Chang
