Class of 1956
48th Anniversary Reunion
Reported by Ed Chang

With the sun setting in Waianae, 31 classmates gathered at the home of Greg Gomes for an evening of great food and an evening of exchange of memories. Family updates were being conducted during the evening too.

The seafood pupu bar began the eating. It consisted of a very large iced tray of two types of crab, oysters in half shell, shrimp with cocktail sauce, sashimi, opihi, and two types of poke. The main entrée consisted of a luau menu spiced with dim sum. Various types of other goodies including poached lobster, chefs from Alan Wong’s Restaurant prepared deserts, etc.

Traveling the furthest was Charlie Pokipala, who flew in from North Carolina. Alan Hardy came in from California and Randy DeCoito flew in from Oregon. Poki was able to get in two rounds of golf with Ed Chang at Honolulu Country Club and Ed Manzano at Navy Marine Golf Course.
