Financial Assistance

John Correa ‘88

Chairman, Financial Assistance Committee

The Financial assistance Committee is proud to have gone through yet another round of Financial Assistance for Decedents of Alumni. On December 12th Checks were handed out to qualifying Decedents of Alumni. We had our largest group to date.

The Financial Assistance Committee, with approval from the Board of Directors, has made a change in the timing of the Financial Assistance Award. In the past checks were dispersed late in the year (April/May) timeframe. This causes several issues:

  a. Most of the recipients have already paid for tuition.
  b. Seniors are graduating and most have no financial obligations left to the school.

Checks will now be dispersed in the December/ January timeframe. The November 1 date change on the Eligibility Rules will give the committee the opportunity to meet the December / November timeframe. With checks being available earlier in the year it will be easier to apply toward tuition.

Eligibility Rules:
The purpose is to assist in the Catholic education for young men of good character and satisfactory academic achievement.
